My Golden Retrievers
Arleen
Arleen came to us in a roundabout way; She was born in France to Glen Sheallag Kennels. Then she went to Texas to live with Grant and Lindsay Ho of Oakshire Kennels. While she was in Texas Grant and Lindsay sent Arleen up to me to be shown for her Canadian Championship. We fell in love with her and it broke our hearts when we had to send her home after a successful show career. As luck would have it about a year later we had the opportunity to get this wonderful girl back and she has been a part of our family since. Arleen has given us 9 beautiful puppies. She is currently enjoying life, swimming playing fetch, and eating some good treats (especially if my daughter has anything to do with it). We love her so much and are very excited to watch her pups grow in their new homes. We have kept a puppy back so keep watch for her pictures in the future. Click on her picture below to see her pedigree.
Reba "Ch Chrys-haefen Fancy of Kairos"
Reba was born November 3 2009. If you read the "About Me" page on this site then you know that I have been in dogs my entire life, and growing up I "had" as many dogs as I wanted, but they really belonged to my mother, they were just my pets. When I decided I was finally ready to own a few Goldens myself it was with the full knowledge that I would be starting from scratch just as any new breeder would, albeit with a bit more experience and knowledge then most. That Christmas my mother surprised me with a puppy of my pick from a litter that was only one generation separated from my two favorite males my mother bred. Tag, Ch Chrys-haefen Tokahe Tagoza (he was one of "My" dogs and I loved him so very much) and Swede, Ch Chrys-haefen Three Crowns. Reba is the puppy I picked and I have not once questioned my decision! Reba has had a wonderful show career, winning the Jr Puppy class at the GRCGT Speciality the day after the National, going reserve at many shows including Specialties, and completing her Championship in Nippissing under respected judge Guy Jeavons.
Polka-dot
Polka-Dot, named by my then 4 year old daughter, came to us from Christina Degazio of Dreamkeeper Goldens. I met Polka's mother, Lovely who is an import from France, while she stayed with me for a while a few years ago. Needless to say I feel in love with her wonderful temperament and beautiful conformation. I decided way back then that I wanted one of her puppies. The following year she was bred to my mothers stud dog Rigger (Ch Chrys-haefen Rigger Folkins) and thus Polka was born. Polka will be starting her show career very soon. She has already had her hips and elbows done and they look great!
My Manchester Terriers
Lewis
Lewis is my second Manchester Terrier, I was fortunate enough to have his brother Zoom for almost a year. I was lucky to experience the kindness and thoughtfulness of Kathy Baer and Tina Sandford when they let me have Lewis. He came to me a Canadian and American Champion but together we managed to skyrocket to the top of Manchester Terriers in Canada and the US, with limited showing. Lewis has produced one litter and we are looking forward to breeding him to our little Leona soon.
Leona
Leona came to us from Tanya Brown and Rivers Edge Manchester in the US. I waited years for Tina to find the right addition to our family and we couldn't be happier with Leona. Leona is a Canadian Champion and needs one point for her American Championship! She has a 4 point major, and a 5 point major obtained by defeating Specials. She got another 5 point major at a speciality in the summer of 2011. Leona gave us 5 beautiful puppies this fall. We are very excited to watch these pups grow. Leona completed her American Championship in December of 2011 in Florida.
